Spike Chien (簡士閎)is a Taiwan-based illustrator and animation director whose work spans editorial illustration, music videos, visual storytelling, and hand-drawn 2D animation. With over five years of experience, they have collaborated with cultural institutions such as the Taipei Fine Arts Museum and musicians including Lo Ta-You and 9m88.
Their creative style blends delicate watercolor textures, restrained palettes, and emotive timing to explore themes like memory, family, and solitude. Their works have been recognized by international awards including the 3x3 Illustration Awards. They are currently a creative partner at ONE.10 Society and are actively developing self-initiated projects, including an animated short film and a city-based illustrated brand.
Deeply invested in both commissioned and independent work, they seek to build long-term collaborations with brands, curators, and publishers who value strong visual identity and narrative depth. Their artistic goal is to craft images that resonate across borders—subtle, poetic, and enduring.
